COUNTRY SIDE [Lion’s Den Remix]

This one comes inna different style…
When Pilah asked me to remix one of the tracks of his ‘O’Clock’ album, the choice was easy, as Birdy Nixon’s vocal on ‘Country Side’ directly transported me to the beautiful lakes, fields and forests in the regions north of Berlin, the forgotten gems of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and Brandenburg.
Working on the remix it immediately took me on a journey inspired by the many nights, festivals, garden parties, campfires and good times spent in those country side areas. With all kinds of music, the songs of the birds and the bees, the wind, the sounds of silence and life, away from Babylon… The outcome is a time-travel going back 10 to 15 years, somewhere in Meck Pomm where the wind picks up a dubby techno beat and carries the beautiful voice of Birdy Nixon thru an open window.
